I live in north Fife, near vibrant and creative Dundee.

Having studied Biological Imaging in Derby I worked in both medical and forensic photography.  Detail, texture, fragility and the infinite beauty of nature interest me. I am currently making cyanotype prints, both from objects and digital negatives. I've also recently been experimenting with the argyrotype process, lumens and photograms. Making, as well as taking, photographs. I have made the move from analogue to digital but am old-fashioned at heart and love to make a print in the darkroom, or in the sun.

I regularly run workshops in the cyanotype process with adults and young artists as well as pinhole camera workshops. See exhibitions and workshops page.

I work with Museums, having collaborated with Bell Pettigrew Museum in St Andrews University, Scottish Fisheries Museum, Brechin Townhouse Museum, Perth Museum and Gallery and Dundee Heritage Trust.

I'm a member of the Dundee Print StudioPrintRoom Dundee. Shutterhub, the Scottish Society for the History of Photography and PhotoVoice.

Photographs in Woodlanders; Life in Britain's Forests, published by Saraband.
